We’ll keep adding to this blog as we have time, but our goal is to write at least one new post per week.  We’ll see if that actually happens with our busy schedules.  I hope our viewers help us out as well.  We want to hear what you have to say about everything!

    Hi Toby and Mark!

Maybe you guys can help me out with this one–

I have this very vague memory from childhood of watching a vampire movie. The only scene that I remember is of a guy (I think, could have been a woman, I don’t remember) looking out a large picture window and seeing three female vampires coming toward the house out of the fog. I can’t think of what movie this was, any ideas? I know it’s not much to go on, but since the three women vampires seems like an adaptation of the castle scene in Dracula, I’m guessing it might have been one of the old Hammer adaptations but so far I haven’t had any luck identifying what movie this was. Anyway, I submit this query on the off-chance that one or both of you might know which movie it is.

The only reference I can find on the net concerning three female vampires harassing someone in a house window is from the original Dracula novel. My guess is that this scene came from one of the original adaptations from this. Knowing your age, I would also assume that it is probably one of the adaptions that were made during the 70′s and most likely this one (but we’ll watch it and keep you up to date on what we find out) – I’ve seen this one, but it has been a long time ago – but it would put it about the right time for you to see it as a kid:

Dracula is a 1979 movie based on a revival stage production of John L. Balderston’s 1927 adaptation of Hamilton Deane’s play based on Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula.

Dracula, directed by John Badham, starred Frank Langella as Count Dracula, Laurence Olivier as Professor Van Helsing, Donald Pleasence as Dr. Jack Seward and Kate Nelligan as Lucy Seward.

    W. D. Richter’s screenplay opened up the plot to include dramatic action sequences, and the film abandoned the stylized, predominantly black-and-white (with red accents) production and costume design of the stage version designed by Edward Gorey in favor of a lush, romantic look created by production designer Peter Murton and costumes by Julie Harris.
